Weston's favorite song right now is "Yankee Doodle". We have a book of rhymes and songs that he will bring to us, point to the page with the Yankee Doodle song, and wait for us to serenade him. He also loves flags, so I knew the Fourth of July was the holiday for him.
On the third we celebrated with our friends' annual extravaganza, shooting off fireworks, eating yummy food, listening to the band and generally having a grand ole' time together.
On the fourth we went out for breakfast, headed to a local farmer's stand for some veggies, then gathered later in the afternoon for the town's Fourth party in the park.

So what did Wes think of the fire and the works? Mixed signals: sometimes seemed unsure, sometimes jumped, sometimes said, "boom!" after a loud boom, and usually signed "more!" when they were done.
