Summer Vacation 2013: the first leg of the race

Hello everyone!  In an attempt to actually record our vacation this summer on my virtual scrapbook, I've decided to blog our trip in real time.  That way anyone that wants to follow this riveting adventure can check in each day and see just where we are in the world...or mid-west to not be so dramatic.
We started yesterday on our road trip to Traverse City in Michigan.  Here we are stopping for a picnic lunch on the road.  Yummy curry chicken salad wraps, veggies and dip and chocolate zucchini bread were on the menu.

After dinner, a quick walk around the block to try and drain energy from a cooped up toddler. (spoiler alert...it didn't work :)  )

After our night in a hotel, we're hitting the road for a handful more hours to reach our next stop.  This time we'll be in southern Michigan.  See you there!
